After a bloody skirmish with a pack of unidentified blind cave creatures, your party traveled forward, hoping to make sense of the tangle of cavern paths and find a way out. Unfortunately, your surroundings begin to seem even more eerily familiar than usual, and you find yourselves standing in the cavern that the battle had occurred not more than two days ago. You gaze in wonder at the carcasses of the slain creatures, naked when you last saw them, and now engulfed in brightly blooming mushrooms. As the fungi consume the flesh and then die in turn, only dark viscous puddles of goo are left behind. You grimace, thinking of the many slimy puddles that you have stepped in down here in the Underdark…
